- The Product, MIST, is a patented liquid chemical solution which infuses any combination of 79 elements into the surface of steel and other metal alloys, ceramics, carbides, cermets, silicates, glass, carbides and other inorganic materials
- MIST infuses into the substrate of the host material’s surface to a depth of 30-40 nanometers
- This ultra thin film is “baked,” or “locked” into the host material’s substrate
- Grain size can be as small as ~3 nanometers
- Application of MIST improves the properties of the treated surfaces
